Former diplomat TCA Raghavan appointed as Director General of Indian Council of World Affairs            Former careered diplomat Dr. TCA Raghavan was appointed as the Director General (DG) of Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA). He was selected by  Governing Body and Governing Council of ICWA headed by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu. The post of DG is equivalent to the rank of Secretary to  Government of India.  Dr. Raghavan is Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of 1982 batch. Vishwas Patel appointed as Chairman of Payments Council of India                Payments Council of India (PCI) has appointed Vishwas Patel, Director at Infibeam Avenues as its new Chairman. He will take over from Naveen Surya,  who has been elevated to post of Chairman Emeritus. National Doctors’ Day: July 1              The National Doctors’ Day is observed every year on 1 July across India to express gratitude and acknowledge the dedication and commitment of the  doctors’ towards our society. The observance of the day honours legendary physician and West Bengal’s second Chief Minister, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy  whose birth and death anniversary coincides on the same day.
